For about the 43rd year in a row (wow!), Keith Hunter organized a fantastic Valentine’s Day Dinner and Programme. Well done Keith!

Keith was assisted by Dino Dottori who raised a toast to the ladies in eloquent tones with thoughts of “love” and “happiness”. Nancy Frater responded to the toast with equally eloquent thoughts! Thanks to both for this well-done, traditional, start to our programme!

Another highlight of the evening was the excellent “Turkey with all the Trimmings” meal prepared by Cari – lots of great food, well-presented and most importantly, very tasty indeed!

Keith then introduced our special treat for the evening, a fantastic Valentine’s Day musical performance by Orangeville’s own chanteuse, Leisa Way. Leisa was accompanied by two key members of her back-up band, Bruce Ley, from Mulmur, on the keyboard, and Bob Hewus, from Hockley Valley, on the bass.
We have all likely attended Leisa’s excellent concert tributes to Patsy Cline and Dolly Parton. Tonight was the first public performance sampling her concert-in-the-works tribute to Peggy Lee, You Give Me Fever, coming to “a theatre near us” – a World Premier in September!

A truly excellent Valentine’s Day evening enjoyed by all!

Dinner of the Month Draw Restaurants: Club members were asked to volunteer to contact the individual restaurants to confirm participation in the 2012-2013 draws. Make sure you make the contacts and let Bill Elliott know.

Also, we were asked to suggest other possible restaurants for the one known position and any others, should some not wish to participate in the next draws. Again, contact Bill Elliott with suggestions.

Big Brothers & Big Sisters Bowl-A-Thon: Dino Dottori is looking after getting our team together to participate in this event coming up on either Friday, March 2nd or Sunday March 4th. Get involved - contact Dino to sign up and have lots of fun!
